Prior to DC Rebirth, the universe was looking decidedly less green when the Green Lantern Corps were thrust into another time and place. Without the galaxy’s best known protectors, Sinestro seized his chance to use his Sinestro Corps as the Green Lanterns’ successors and usher in a new age ruled by fear. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps rose up in opposition, and now a new Emerald Dawn has begun.
But there have been a few major changes to the status quo. Sinestro’s daughter, Soranik has taken over the Sinestro Corps and formed an uneasy alliance with the Green Lanterns. Can the powers of Will and Fear combine for the greater good? We’re about to find out.
DC has provided CraveOnline with an exclusive preview of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps # 9, which finds the Green Lanterns and the Sinestro Corps trapped on Xundar just as Starro the Conqueror strikes. An impenitrable force field is keeping anyone from leaving the planet, which means that’s Guy Gardner’s cue to do something rash and stupid. Must be Wednesday!
Here’s the description of this issue from DC Comics:
“BOTTLED LIGHT” part two! The Corps is trapped in the Xudarian capital with a foe that suppresses willpower! And—Starro strikes!
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps # 9 was written by Robert Venditti with art by Rafael Sandoval and Jordi Tarrogona. It will be released this Wednesday, November 23 in comic book stores everywhere.
