T.G.I.M.! #158

Taking a look at the best sports on TV this week.

Heading into the second week of June, we are still blessed with a plethora of quality playoff games from both the NHL and the NBA. I'm giving the edge to the NBA because of my basketball bias. But in reality both sports are fielding games that are must-see TV. Unfortunately, the NHL games — with the exception of Saturday — are strictly on sub-stations. But at least we get to see every NBA game, as the every-other-night schedule and the tight series' means we don't go a day without a big game.

(MLB) LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 7 pm ESPN

(NBA) Oklahoma City at San Antonio 9 pm TNT

(NBA) Boston at Miami 8:30 pm ESPN– This pivotal game 5 brings back Chris Bosh to the fold but to what capacity will he be able to perform after his long layoff? If the Celtics can squeeze one more out of a weakened Heat, then heading back home for game 6 with a chance to advance may be all the ammo they need to put Miami out of their misery.

(MLB) Tampa Bay at NY Yankees 7:05 pm ESPN2

(NBA) San Antonio at Oklahoma City 9 pm TNT– This titanic clash between these two super-teams of the West is probably going to go 7 games. It's honestly inevitable considering the skills level of all involved. Hopefully, though, the winner has something left in the tank for the Finals.

(GOLF) FedEx St. Jude Classic, June 7th thru 10th CBS/TGC

(MLB) Tampa Bay at NY Yankees 7:05 pm MLB Network

(NBA) Miami at Boston 8:30 pm ESPN

(MLB) NY Mets at NY Yankees 7:05 pm MLB Network

(ARENA) Pittsburgh vs Cleveland 8 pm NFL Network- Arena football may not be the NFL. But hey, it's still football, and frankly there is nothing out there that compares to the NFL. That being said, this is Pittsburgh vs Cleveland, 'nuff said. They could be playing cornhole and I'd still tune in if it involves these two cities.

(NBA) Oklahoma City at San Antonio 9 pm TNT *If Needed

(NASCAR) NASCAR Nationwide Series at Dover 2 pm ESPN

(NHL) Los Angeles at New Jersey 8 pm NBC *If Needed

(NBA) Boston at Miami 8:30 pm ESPN *If Needed

(NASCAR) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Dover 6 pm FOX

(MLB) Detroit at Cincinnati 8 pm ESPN
