With MLB hitting it's halfway point, the countdown to the NFL is slowly working its way down. To tide the sports fan over, however, basketball is offering up its Summer League beginning this week as well as the exploits of Team USA and their quest for the gold. Oh, and don't forget the WNBA out there doing their thing.

The summer months can be a long one for a lot of sports fans but this week has a ton to keep you occupied.

(MLB) 83rd MLB All-star Game 7:30 pm FOX- It's hard to believe we are at the halfway point of the MLB season already. With the summer slipping away, the biggest surprise may be that heading into this break the Pittsburgh Pirates are currently in first place. That's right, the team that hasn't had a winning season since 1992 is in first place at the mid-way point. Let's hope they can keep it up in the second half.
