Gina Philips, born Gina Consolo, is an American actress probably best known for her roles on “Ally McBeal” and “Boston Public.”
Gina Philips was born and raised in Miami and graduated from a performing arts high school before attending the University of Pennsylvania to study Film Marketing. She dropped out just short of one class in order to take up acting as a full-time career. The university, however, allowed her to walk in its graduation.
She made her TV debut in 1992 in “Growing Pains,” playing the part of Gail. Her most notable role was in “Jeepers Creepers” portraying Patricia ‘Trish’ Jenner. Her other appearances include “CSI,” “Medium,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Hijacked,” among others. She is set to star in “Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral.”
She also completed a sold-out run in “The Vagina Monologues” at Los Angeles’ Canon Theatre.

In an interview in 2008, Gina Philips said, “I like to choose strong women.” She added about nudity, “I don’t do nudity. Never done it, never will, have no interest in it myself. I pass no judgment on anyone that wants to do it. It’s not for me. So, definitely, when we get a script with nudity, my managers ask if they will take it out. And if not, then I don’t even bother with it. And part of it for me also is the whole world of the Internet, I hope to have children someday and I don’t want their friends to be able to point to the screen and say, ‘oh look, it’s your Mommy!”
Gina Philips said, “Horror fans are the most loyal fans in the world. And because of that, I have this awesome fan base that I really think has kept me working for so long, either in the horror genre or the other stuff I do.”
Gina Philips said, “I missed what I should have done. I think if it was 15 years ago, and I knew what I know now, [directing] is what I would have done.”
She is married to film producer Lee Nelson. They live in Los Angeles.
