Jane Levy is an American actress best know for her role as Tessa on the ABC comedy "Suburgatory." She also starred in the remake of horror classic "Evil Dead" in 2013.
Jane Colburn Levy was born in Los Angeles County on December 29, 1989. Raised in Marin County in Northern California along with her brother, Simon, she took to acting at the tender age of 7, when she landed a role in the local production of "Oklahoma!" The lead to roles in other local performances of such works as "Annie" and "The Wizard of Oz." By age 13, however, Jane decided to pursue other interests. Along with her acting talents, she also became the captain of her high school soccer team, as well as performed with the school's hip-hop dance team.

After high school Jane set off to attend Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. It wasn't long until she transferred out in favor of New York City's Stella Adler Studio of Acting, as her interest in acting again hit a peak. After two years in New York preparing herself to become an actress, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she found work in no time.
It was literally two weeks after moving that Jane landed her first major acting role as Mandy Milkovich on the first season of the hit Showtime series, "Shameless." However, her character was recast in season two, as Jane was cast on the ABC comedy "Suburgatory" and left "Shameless" in favor of her new leading role. She then proceeded to land roles in back to back films in 2012, "Nobody Walks" starring John Krasinski and "Fun Size" with Chelsea Handler. By 2013, she was starring as drug addled Mia in the horror remake "Evil Dead."
Jane's personal life has been kept pretty private during her rise to stardom. However, it was announced that on April 16, 2013, she had filed for divorce from husband Jaime Freitas, whom she married in secret on March 3, 2011. The couple had been separated since October 31 of the same year.
