Jes Macallan (not to be confused with the author of nearly the same name Jess Macallan) is an actress and former model probably best known for her role on the ABC drama series “Mistresses.” Most recently, she joined the Fox series “Red Band Society.”
Jes Macallan described herself on Twitter as “I’m kinda like a dude…with tits…otherwise I try to rescue as many pets as I can without being a hoarder.” She grew up in Sarasota, Florida, the eldest of seven children. She studied dance from when she was three and was later offered a college scholarship, though a knee injury kept her from pursuing it.

She attended the University of Florida and graduated with an International Business Degree.
Jes Macallan used to model in Miami, New York and Milan from 2001-2004 before she studied acting at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York City. Her other credits include roles on “Justified,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Shameless,” among others.
As for her experience on “Mistresses,” she said, “The four of us are really super-close, on and off camera.” She added, “When I read the finale, even when we were shooting the finale…there was one point when I was really crying and I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can shoot this.’”
As for her guilty TV pleasure, she said, “I freakin’ love Dance Moms. I was a little dancer growing up. Ten hours on the weekend and 40 hours a week when I was going to school, from 10 years on. I just wanted to be in companies and I lived with these screaming brilliant dance teachers who I loved.”
Jes Macallan has been married to Canadian actor Jason Gray-Stanford since 2012. She is also an ambassador for the Best Friends Animal Society. She now resides in Los Angeles, California.
