Kirby Griffin is an American model. She is best known for her appearance in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Kirby Griffin was born in Americus, Georgia. She lived there until she was 14, when her family then moved to Wisconsin. From there, Kirby wound up at the University of Wisconsin, where she studied for one year before taking a trip on her spring break to South Beach. It was while there that she was scouted and eventually brought in to begin her career in modeling. Soon after, she moved to New York, where her modeling career continued to thrive.
As her career began to take off, Kirby was given many opportunities to show what she was made of. In fact, she has modeled for the best of the best, including companies such as Victoria's Secret, Covergirl, Saks Fifth Avenue, and mark by Avon. As her modeling career has continued to take shape, she has done her best to branch out into acting as well. Her first official role on film came in the form of a music video for Sean Kingston's "Take You There." She has also guest-starred on an episode of the FOX medical drama, "House."
The year 2012 was indeed Kirby's big break, however, as she was chosen as one of the 17 models to be featured in that year's edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her shots were taken in Africa, where she had photos taken amongst giraffes and zebras, as well as at the top of Victoria Falls and in Devil's Pool. She described the whole experience as being so amazing that she couldn't even think of the words to describe it, and also, that it frankly didn't feel like work because it was so much fun.
