Lyndsy Marie Fonseca was born to parents of Portuguese and German ancestry in Oakland, California on January 7, 1987. She was raise in Alameda, California and then Moraga, California throughout her childhood. Home schooled until attending the Barbizon School of Modeling, it wasn't long into that particular venture that Lyndsy was swooped up by an agent and moved to Los Angeles at age 13 to pursue a career in acting.
Lyndsy started out with small guest spots on shows such as "Boston Public" and "Malcolm in the Middle" before landing a cherry gig on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" for three years. Once her contract was up, she continued to book roles on television shows, as well as TV movies like the Hallmark channels "Ordinary Miracles." By 2009, Lyndsy's gigs on "Big Love" and "Desperate Housewives" were coming to a close. Therefore, it was the perfect time to book back-to-back starring roles in "Kickass" and "Hot Tub Time Machine" by 2010. As if that weren't enough, Lyndsy also began starring on the series "Nikita" around the same time.
As for her personal life, after a five month separation from her husband of three years, artist Matt Smiley, Lyndsy filed for divorce in January 2013. However, not to end things on a downer, her career continues to thrive. As of May 17, 2013, "Nikita" will be wrapping its third season on the CW. And to top it off, Lyndsy will be reprising her role as Katie in "Kickass 2" later this year on August 16.
