Meghan Ory is a Canadian television and film actress. She is most famous for playing the role of Red Riding Hood/Ruby on ABC's "Once Upon a Time," as well as Riley Neal on the CBS drama, "Intelligence."
Meghan Ory was born on August 20, 1982 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. As a child, she attended the Royal Oak Middle School before graduating to Claremont Secondary School. She eventually went on to receive the Fine Arts Award for Acting from the Royal Oak School in 1996. This lead to her decision to take up acting professionally, and by 1999 she was cast in her first career role in the TV movie, "The Darklings."
After a couple more small roles in television, the very next year Meghan won her first series regular role on the series, "Higher Ground," which also starred now famous actors such as Hayden Christensen and Jewel Staite. After another slew of television guest roles, she was again cast as a series regular on "Vampire High" in 2001, a series that would take her into the next year. After this, she again hopped from guest role to guest role with an occasional TV movie thrown in until 2006, when she both worked on the mini-series "Merlin's Apprentice," and also was booked for yet another series regular role on "South Beach." In addition to both of these major accomplishments, she also landed a role in the feature film, "John Tucker Must Die."
Of course, Meghan's career turned the biggest corner in 2011, when she was cast as Red Riding Hood/Ruby on the immensely popular series, "Once Upon a Time." By the second season, she was promoted to series regular, but left at the end of the year to pursue new projects. Eventually, she was cast in a leading role on the CBS series, "Intelligence."
