Odette Annable is an American actress probably best known for her roles in “Cloverfield,” “Breaking In” and “House M.D.”

She made her acting debut at the age of five when she appeared with Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Kindergarten Cop.”
She was born Odette Juliette Yustman and grew up in Riverside, California. She attended Woodcrest Christian High School and was her school’s homecoming queen. After she graduated, she planned on attending Loyola Marymount University to study business finance, but changed her mind and focused on acting, instead.
She is a mix of Colombian, French, Italian and Cuban ancestry, and was raised in a Latin household. Thus, it’s no surprise that she speaks both English and Spanish. She said, “I learned Spanish at home and since half of my family doesn’t speak English, it’s my first language.”

Her other credits include “October Road,” “”Brothers & Sisters” and “House M.D.,” among other projects. Odette Annable is also the voice of “Amata Almodovar” in the video game “Fallout 3.” She was nominated for a Teen Choice Award at the Teen Choice Awards for choice Movie Actress: Horror/Thriller for “Cloverfield.”
Odette said of TV roles over film roles, that “I really love being at home and being able to go into my own bed at the end of the day.”
The feature she looks for in a man is a “Great smile. That’s what attracts me. Confidence, not cockiness. He’s gotta be a gentleman. Open the doors. Pick me up for a date. Bring a rose maybe.”

Odette Annable lives in Los Angeles with her husband Dave Annable, whom she married in 2010.
