Scherri-Lee Biggs is a South African model probably best known for her title as Miss Universe Australia 2011. She won the title of Miss Universe Australia on July 7, 2011.
Scherri-Lee Biggs was born in South Africa and grew up in a farm in Ballio Bay, South Africa. “It was heaps of fun. I definitely have two sides: I’m girlie, I love fashion and studied ballet, but at the same time, I also have this really capable side. I love camping in the middle of nowhere where there are no toilets.”
Bothered by the increase of violence in her country, she and her family emigrated to Australia when she was 12. She grew up in Perth. While there, she attended St. Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School. “My parents throught Australia presented a better opportunity for us.”

As a girl, Scherri-Lee Biggs was active in dance and ballet, but at 16 pursued a career in modeling after being scouted by Vivien’s modeling agency.
She won Miss Universe Australia and said, “I was thrilled to win. What started out as just a fun experience grew into someone much more as I found out about what the competition and what it stands for.”
Scherri-Lee Biggs went on to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant in Sao Paulo, where she finished in the top ten. It was there that she was told that her evening gown made of satin was “offensively see-through.” And her bikini was described as “way too sexy.” She was ordered to cover up by making her bikini bottoms wider.
While she returned to Australia, Scherri-Lee Biggs modeled for Mossimo and Novo shoes and was named the face of Nude by Nature cosmetics. She said, “I’m quite ‘hippy’ for a model. For modeling I’m more of a size-10 bum. When I first started it took me six months to get my head around it, thinking ‘it’s business and I’ll find my avenue where my body image is supported rather than scrutinized.”
Scherri-Lee Biggs is currently a presenter on Coxy’s Big Break and has been a member of the Channel 7’s broadcast team for the 2012 Spring Racing Carnival, Melbourne’s New Years Eve broadcast and the 2013 Australian Open. She stays in shape with Pilates and running.
Scherri-Lee Biggs resides in Australia.
