Susan Ward is an American actress and model probably best known for her role in the movie “Shallow Hall” as well as the ABC Family drama series “Make It or Break It.”
Susan Ward grew up on a farm in Monroe, Louisiana and had dreams of becoming a veterinarian due to her love of animals. She said, “You name it, I’ve raised it. Tropical birds, rabbits, snakes, wallabies…but know you, all the blood – that part just wasn’t my thing.”
Then, while walking through a New Orleans mall, she was approached by a modeling scout. Only 13, Susan Ward then got involved in modeling. Susan thought it would be a good way to make money and fund her vet school bills down the line. She said growing up, “I was never part of a clique at all, because I was never really accepted.”
In junior high, Susan Ward was part of the dance/drill team called the “Kit-Kats.” For a semester, she attended Northeast Louisiana University and studied psychology.
After she appeared in a variety of ads, she shifted her focus to acting. She landed on “All My Children” and then the nighttime soap “Malibu Shores.” Other roles followed, including parts in “Sunset Beach,” “Would I Lie to You,” and “Poison Ivy: The New Seduction,” among other projects.
Susan Ward said, “Unfortunately, in this business, soap actors aren’t deemed to be serious actors; they’re the low man on the totem pole. That’s regrettable, because they work extremely hard and you don’t receive the recognition from other actors, or for that matter, from society.”

She has said, “I am not sexually attracted to women. I would rather sleep with an ugly man than with a woman.”
She is also a self-proclaimed fanatic of MTV’s “The Real World.”
Susan Ward is married to David C. Robinson, a film producer, whom she met while auditioning for the lead role of a seductive, bisexual murderess in the erotic thriller “The In Crowd.” They were married at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California.
Susan said of her role in the film, “The research I did was to think of every snooty and snotty girl I ever knew in high school, in college, or even now and sort of put them all into one big package and become that ultimate like…bitch.”
Susan Ward resides in Los Angeles, California.
