Vanessa Ray is an American actress. She is best known for her recurring roles on TV shows such as "Suits," "Pretty Little Liars," and "Blue Bloods."
Vanessa Ray was born on November 2, 1980 in Livermore, California. her parents, James and Valerie Liptak, were both very involved in theater, with her father even producing music for local theaters. Needless to say, love of performing onstage was in Vanessa's blood, and it didn't take long before she became quite good at the craft. She first earned her Actor's Equity card for her performance in the musical, "Footloose," before then playing Nemo in "Finding Nemo, the Musical" at Disney World in Orlando. She then toured the country in the one-act musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" before landing a role in the final year of "Hair" on Broadway.
Vanessa's first official onscreen acting gig came in the form of a youth-oriented short film titled "The Sparky Chronicles: The Map" in 2003. After several years, she then began picking up bigger and bigger television roles, first on the series, "The Battery's Down," followed by a notable stint during the final episodes of the long-running soap opera, "As the World Turns." Then, in 2010, she booked her most high profile role yet playing Tessa on the Glenn Close series, "Damages," while also continuing to land small guest roles on series such as "White Collar," "Nurse Jackie," and "Girls."
Since 2011, Vanessa's career has continued to pick up steady steam. After being cast in a nine-episode stint on the series, "Suits," she was able to nab the role of CeCe Drake on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" the following year. She then joined the cast of CBS' "Blue Bloods" for the show's fourth season.
