The Arctic Monkeys released the video for new unannounced track 'R U Mine' this morning (February 27th) and promptly began trending on Twitter as fans climbed over each other to praise it.

The video features an introduction from a DJ for Californian radio station KROQ, where the track received its radio debut. It shows Alex Turner (still sporting that greaser 'do) and the rest of the band messing around in their car along with two girls dressed up as Zorro.

The release of the video comes after a weekend which saw the release of a collection of early b-sides from the band doing the rounds over the internet (download available here).

The track is similar to the style of their third studio album 'Humbug', with a heavier and more guitar driven sound that is what I imagine the Queens Of The Stone Age would sound like if Josh Homme gave up being a rock icon to go drink tepid beer in Northern England.

The track will be released as a single on March 2.
