Forget all those rumors you keep hearing about a Tupac hologram rap tour – at least for the moment. Dr. Dre has said that the Tupac hologram was created "strictly for Coachella," which means that there are no active plans to take the technology on the road. However, he's not completely ruling out the idea.
Dre and Snoop Dogg showcased a feature performance of the long-deceased rapper at their headlining set at the Coachella Arts & Music festival over the course of the previous two weekends – and subsequent reports had suggested the pair were set to take the hologram on the road.
In a short YouTube clip posted online last night, however, Dre reminded fans that the experience was a special performance, and not done for a tour. He did remain coy about bringing Tupac back in future, adding "we'll see".
Through the wonders of computer-animation technology, the Tupac hologram addressed the Coachella crowd and also performed '2 Of Americaz Most Wanted' as a duet with Snoop Dogg during the gig. Read more on the performance and watch video from the experience here.
