Something wicked is coming for the Locke family.
According to NicegirlsTV, Ksenia Solo has signed on to the "Locke & Key" pilot in the pivotal role of Dodge, a manipulative entity that gets close to the Locke family in order to uncover their secrets and gain control of the mysterious keys in their ancestral home, Keyhouse.
"Locke & Key" artist Gabriel Rodriguez confirmed Solo’s casting in a post on twitter "Ksenia Solo, AWESOME as Dodge in the ‘Locke & Key’ pilot," wrote Rodriguez. "Really!"
Astute readers of Crave Online’s TV section may have noticed that Solo guest starred in last Thursday’s episode of "Nikita" as a Russian sex slave. Prior to that, Solo starred in "renegadepress.com," "Life Unexpected" and the Canadian supernatural drama, "Lost Girl." She also made guest appearances in "Cold Case," "Moonlight" and "The Cleaner" in addition to a small role in "The Black Swan."
Back in 2008, "Locke & Key" was created by novelist Joe Hill with Rodriguez as the artist, for an ongoing series of miniseries from comic book publisher IDW. "Locke & Key" is currently in its fourth miniseries.
Like the comic, the TV series focuses on Nina Locke (Miranda Otto) and her three children following the brutal murder of her husband Rendell. To help her family recover, Nina and her children move into Keyhouse, which they soon discover houses magical keys and doorways to other worlds. Jesse McCartney co-stars as her son, Tyler with Sarah Bolger and Skylar Gaertner as her daughters Kinsey and Bode. Nick Stahl ("Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines") recently signed on as well to portray Duncan Locke, the younger brother of Nina’s deceased husband.
Steven Spielberg is executive producing the series alongside with "Fringe" co-creators, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The pilot script was written by Josh Friedman ("Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles") with Mark Romanek ("Never Let Me Go").
The series is rumored to be very likely to make next season’s fall schedule on Fox.
