Kiefer Sutherland has been extremely vocal about getting a movie version of 24 made. So vocal, in fact, that we've learned to completely ignore him. On more than one occasion he's claimed that the 24 movie – which we assume would be called 2, what with the real-time conceit and all – was going into production only for the actual producers to chime in a day or so later to clarify that Sutherland had fallen prey to wishful thinking. Now it appears that he's telling the truth: series producer Brian Grazer (who also produces such feature films as A Beautiful Mind and this summer's Cowboys & Aliens) recently tweeted the following:
"Got off the phone Keifer yesterday and we are very excited about producing the ‘24' movie for next year."
First off, Brian? Spell check. It's a thing.
When last we left Jack Bauer he was… Oh, who are we kidding, we stopped watching after Season Six just like everybody else. But we assume the new movie will have something to do with terrorism and Kiefer Sutherland being a total badass.
Crave Online will be back with more 24 news… within the hour! [EDITOR'S NOTE: No, Bibbs, we will not.]
