Big Aristotle is calling it quits after a long career in the NBA. After playing with six teams over a span of 19 years, Shaquille O'Neal told fans about his retirement via a tweet and a short video, The retirement tweet (Shaq retires) was short and to the point, "im retiring."

Shaq's retirement video (posted on the social video site Tout) contained the following message directly from the big man himself: "We did it. 19 Years baby. Want to thank you very much, that's why I'm telling you first, I'm about to retire. Love you, talk to you soon."

The always personable 7ft 1, 325 pound NBA center posted the pre-retirement message on Twitter to his 3.8 million followers. Shaq leaves the game with 4 NBA championship rings, 3 NBA Finals MVP trophies, 2 Olympic gold medals, and a host of other awards.

Cheers big guy, see you in the hall of fame.
