The 2011 Street League DC Pro Tour Fueled By Monster Energy is set to take over Kansas City this weekend, as the world's top skateboarders compete for a total prize purse of $413,000 up for grabs.
Sal Masekela and Felix Arguelles, along with Street League’s founder and MTV Personality Rob Dyrdek will host the two-hour broadcast from Sprint Center in Kansas City.The live broadcast of the Stop 2 Finals will air Sunday, June 12th at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
The second stop of the 2011 Street League DC Pro Tour Fueled by Monster Energy, created by Rob Dyrdek, will air live on ESPN2, Sunday June 12, at 4 p.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. Pacific. The two-hour broadcast, hosted by Dyrdek, Sal Masekela and Felix Arguelles, will cover the finals of the tour’s second stop at Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO.
Showcasing the world’s best skateboarders battling it out for the most prize money in skateboarding history (with a prize purse of $1.6 million on the line), Street League is an intensely competitive pressure-cooker of talent for the board-inclined. The contest showcases a real-time instant scoring format that allows viewers to follow the action. The finals of the tour’s first stop in Seattle featured previous finalists Chris Cole, Paul Rodriguez and Shane O’Neill, as well as first time qualifiers Mikey Taylor, Mike Mo Capaldi and Billy Marks who squeezed in by winning the Last Chance Qualifier.
Ultimately, Street League’s youngest pro and the 2010 series’ overall champion, Nyjah Huston took the first place prize of $150,000 guaranteeing himself one of the ten spots in the SLS Championship on August 28.

Following Kansas City, Street League will travel to Glendale, AZ at the Jobing.com Arena on July 16-17 with the tour thereafter culminating in a winner-takes-all Championship in Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center on August 28. The SLS Championship will feature the winners of the first three stops of the 2011 tour along with the remaining top eight qualifiers who will compete for $200,000 as well as the title of Street League Champion.
