Activision and Treyarch have announced the next batch of Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC — the “Annihilation” content pack. The DLC will be made available on June 28, and is another timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. The PC and PS3 versions of the game will get the add-on at some later point. Unfortunately, no pricing details were announced in the official press release. But it would be wise to assume the Call of Duty standard of 1200 MS Points will be the price tag for these new maps.
So, what are the new maps you’re probably wondering? Let me answer that question right now:
The press release lists “Hangar 18,” “Drive-In,” “Silo” and “Hazard” on the competitive side. While the new zombie level is called “Shangri-La,” which is an “exotic and mysterious map filled with deadly traps, dark secrets and innovative gameplay that will challenge even the most daring Zombie hunters.” Let’s hope the production value of “Shangri-La” rivals the previous “Call of the Dead” zombie map. It’s going to take something huge to top Danny Trejo and George Romero.
Here's a behind the scenes video with Treyarch detailing each of the new maps:
In addition to the new map pack in 12 days, Treyarch is hosting a Double XP weekend beginning Friday, July 1, to celebrate the DLC’s launch.
