WB Games and DC Entertainment have sent out a new trailer for Gotham City Impostors, the download-only, multiplayer-focused first-person shooter set in Gotham City and developed by Monolith Studios. The new video highlights two new weapons (the target-neutralizing Hatchet and the enemy-battering Bear Trap), as well as the near limitless customization options Gotham City Impostors offers. It’s true what they say: When Batman leaves town, the freaks come out to play.

We got a chance to check out Gotham City Impostors at E3 in early June and came away quite impressed. The game is a frantic, team-based multiplayer experience that takes cues from Team Fortress 2 and the early Unreal Tournament games. In a nutshell, we’ve warmed up to the game’s concept, which at first sounded downright stupid. But it just goes to show you, never judge a book by it’s cover. Or, in this case, never judge a Dark Knight wannabe by his hockey pads and mom-sewn cape. He might be adorable, but he’s also very deadly.

OK, enough talking, here’s the trailer.
