With all the sexy man flesh Steven Soderbergh has lined up for Magic Mike, his male stripper movie based on the life of Channing Tatum, it probably feels like an afterthought to cast a woman. But cast a woman they have: Olivia Munn will co-star in Magic Mike as Channing Tatum's love interest. Not the movie version of Channing Tatum, to be played by Beastly's Alex Pettyfer. No, she'll be romancing character in the Channing Tatum biography who just happens to be played by Channing Tatum.
It's best not to think about it too hard.
Deadline reports that actress and television personality Olivia Munn has been cast as Amber, and will appear alongside such hunky dudes as Tatum, Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer in the upcoming film. Munn is most famous for co-hosting G4's Attack of the Show, but has experience acting in such films and programs as Scarecrow Gone Wild, Beyond the Break, The Slammin' Salmon, Date Night and Perfect Couples. Most people, it must be said, seem to enjoy looking at Olivia Munn because they find her sexually attractive. We choose not to argue with them on that point, although accusations of shallowness aren't altogether unreasonable.
She's a human being, people. Just because she dresses up as Slave Leia doesn't mean… Oh man, she was a totally smoking Slave Leia, wasn't she? Wowzers…
CraveOnline will be back with more Magic Mike news as soon as we come up with something vaguely witty to say at the end of this sentence.
