On last week's episode of "True Blood," the war between the vampires and the witches reached a tipping point as Marnie (Fiona Shaw) led a violent attempt on the life of Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). With Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) under Marnie's control and about to kill his king, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) somehow found the power to release Eric from Marnie's spell and return his memories in the process.

As the vampires prepared for their final assault on Marnie, both Eric and Bill alienated Sookie when they disregarded the lives of Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), Holly Cleary (Lauren Bowles) and the other witches unwillingly held by Marnie's power within her Moon Goddess Emporium. Sookie took it upon herself to organize a rescue party,.including her brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) and Jesus Velasquez (Kevin Alejandro). However, the attempt went badly and everyone but Jason was captured by Marnie.

In the first of three clips from the penultimate episode of the season, Bill, Eric and Pam (Kristin Bauer) express their disdain for Sookie's actions as they prepare to destroy the Emporium and everyone inside. But Jason won't allow it and this time he isn't taking crap from any vampires.

Inside the emporium, Lafayette witnesses Antonia (Paola Turbay) expel herself from Marnie's body in the second clip of the week. In the last episode, it was clear that Marnie was in the driver's seat and only Antonia felt remorse over their actions. The dialog in this scene suggests that Marnie killed one of her own coven, so the question is… who's missing?

And in our last preview clip from this episode, Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) continues his attempt to get revenge on pack master Marcus Bozeman (Dan Buran) for the death of Sam's brother, Tommy (Marshall Allman). And Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) seems to be firmly on Sam's side despite what it means for his place in the wolf pack.

HBO has also released a teaser trailer for the episode along with the synopsis.

It's up to Sookie and her powers to keep Bill, Eric and Pam from harm. While Jesus casts a spell, Lafayette is totally absorbed by the past. Sam gets even with Marcus and Alcide deals with Debbie head on. Andy's foray into the forest is filled with deep, overwhelming emotion.
