Good news all you console junkies. The original Crysis is making the transition to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network in October. Finally, gamers around the globe will be able to enjoy this 2007 gem without the need of a super computer to run it. Three cheers!

Crytek made the announced on GameTrailers TV, with CEO Cervat Yerli saying "For many years, people were asking, can you do Crysis 1 on consoles?… And we have been secretly working on that for a while."

Crysis 1 will release on XBLA for 1600 MS Points and $19.99 on PSN. Unfortunately, no exact release date was provided. However, October is coming up real quick, so we’ll probably hear more about the project very soon. But at least Crytek gave us a few nuggets to digest about this downloadable port of the original Crysis for XBLA and PSN. The game will be “remastered” and feature new lighting, effects and Nanosuit controls.

Finally, GameTrailers TV has the exclusive debut trailer for Crysis on consoles. You can watch it below. Enjoy.
