Here’s some awesomely shocking news for Metal Gear Solid fans. Sony and Kojima Productions will be bringing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to not only the PlayStation 3, but also to the PlayStation Vita.

The announcement was made during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference by Kojima Productions’ boss himself, Hideo Kojima. However, as of right now this is only a Japanese thing. But the odds of us getting a Vita version of the MGS HD Collection in North American and Europe are pretty high. I mean, that’s instant money for Sony and Kojima Productions. In the words of the internet, "Shut up and take my money!"

In other Kojima-Productions-HD-remastering news, Sony also announced at the Zone of the Enders HD remastering set to launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 will also make the transition to Vita. The collection will include both PlayStation 2-era Zone of the Enders titles. It seems as though the PS Vita and Kojima Productions are a match made in heaven.

If we catch wind of a U.S./European announcement for either of these two collections on Vita, we’ll let you know ASAP.
