Goldeneye was one of the greatest shooters to ever grace the Nintendo 64 console experience. It defined a genre, it united strangers as friends and made friends into enemies. The game is a damn classic.
Activision's remake for the Wii was also outstanding. It may not have earned the same cult-classic fan adoration as the first time around on Nintendo's previous console, but it launched to a fan-base ecstatic to have it. It was a well made, well-rounded, beast of a motion-based shooter.
The game is getting an HD update and re-release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as Goldeney 007: Reloaded later this holiday. Today, Activision sent a press release to outlets like Crave indicating that they were doing a special Move bundle for the PlayStation 3 version of the software.
So, what's the skinny on the bundle and its contents? Here it is from the release:
The robust bundle will include the game on Blu-ray disc, PlayStation®Move motion controller, navigation controller, PlayStation®Eye camera and Sharp Shooter peripheral, offering fans pinpoint control as they jump straight into the legendary story campaign and frenetic 16-player multiplayer matches…
…As an added bonus for PlayStation 3 gamers, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will feature a free, exclusive downloadable character. The notorious villain from the 1979 film Moonraker, HUGO DRAX, will be playable in split-screen and online Classic Conflict multiplayer modes while wielding his Moonraker Laser Pistol.
Goldeneye 007: Reloaded is set to release, both in bundle and standard form, on November 1st of this year. Pricing for the Move bundle has not been announced. There is, however, another Sharpshooter Bundle for Resistance 3 that ran gamers $150 at launch. Take that, apply logic, assume a similar price.
