If you’re anything like us, then you can’t wait to get your hands on DICE’s Battlefield 3. Well, friends, that time is sooner than you might think. EA Games and DICE are opening up the Battlefield 3 beta, across all platforms, for anyone to download and enjoy on September 29th.

Players will be able to download the beta client through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace or EA’s Origin application on PC on the 29th for free. The beta will offer one game mode (Rush) and one multiplayer map (Operation Metro). Players who take part in the beta will also be able to give feedback on their experience to maybe influence tweaks leading into the game’s full retail launch on October 25, 2011.

For players who bought the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor last year or pre-ordered Battlefield 3 digitally through Origin, you’ll get access to this beta a whopping two days early on September 27th. The Battlefield 3 beta will run until October 10, 2011.

Get pumped.
