Don’t forget, the original Crysis is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will be available through both platforms’ digital marketplaces (Xbox Live and PSN) very soon. How soon you ask? Well, EA Games and Crytek have announced that on October 4th you’ll be able to download and play the original Crysis on home consoles.

Crysis will launch for 1600 MS Points on Xbox Live, or $19.99 on the PlayStation Network. The original Crysis was responsible for making many a computer break down into tears when it released in 2007. It’s quite shocking that a game nearly four years old can still hold a candle next to titles that are releasing right now.

Of course, the console version of Crysis will take a hit when it comes to graphics. However, the game will still look pretty, there’s no doubt about that. Just look at Crysis 2. Crytek did some gorgeous stuff with that game for Xbox 360 and PS3. It would be wise to expect the same level of detail to be captured in the Xbox 360 and PS3 ports of the original Crysis.

Finally, here’s a trailer for the original Crysis on Xbox 360 and PS3 in case you missed it the first time around.
