We're going to come right out and say it: you should see Bunraku. We loved it, and we've talked to both Josh Hartnett and Ron Perlman about their experiences making this uniquely stylized action fantasy film, which is out in theaters this weekend and already available on Video on Demand. That said, it's an experience you should have in a theater, and maybe even an art installation.
Yeah, you heard us.
Bunraku's strange Japanese puppetry inspired visual style has spawned its own art installation from Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell. The opening of the show was a private event that hosted the cast and crew from the film, including director Guy Moshe and cast members Josh Hartnett, Ron Perlman and Kevin McKidd, all of whom are awesome in the film. The show was invitation-only, so in case you missed it (and odds are good that you did), here are some pictures from the event.
