Chucky is getting his own video game and we're, well, confused...

We’re finally getting what we’ve all been clamoring for: a Chucky video game. TikGames has secured the rights to the Child’s Play film franchise after months of participating in an intense bidding war (not really) and are planning to pump out a game based around the property. Chucky, or whatever the game will be called, will most likely be coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, although exact details are not yet available.

"We're proud to be able to bring a fan-favourite movie character, such as Chucky, to gaming platforms," said co-founder and vice president of publishing for TikGames, Alex Tikman.

"Fans have been asking for a Chucky game for years and, soon, gamers around the world will be able to enjoy highly-entertaining, interactive, downright gory experiences with this brand."

We’re honestly not quite sure how to react to this news other than to poke fun at it. We can’t imagine a Chucky video game being all that exciting and engrossing. We’re picturing something like Naughty Bear, only with less bear and more carved up ginger doll. Again, to reiterate, our excitement level is through the roof.

What are your thoughts on a Chucky game? Are you one of the fans who have been asking for this for years? Sound off below.
