We hope you like Daniel Craig as much as we do, because you're stuck with him. The current incarnation of James Bond has proven to be a major hit with fans the world over, who turned both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace into blockbuster hits. With Skyfall finally on the horizon, it was only a matter of time before we heard rumblings about how long Craig might stay with the franchise. Turns out… it's a long f**king time.
People.uk has learned that Bond producer Michael G. Wilson wants Craig to do five more James Bond films after Skyfall. That's eight total, one more than the reigning champion of the franchise, Roger Moore. Here's how it stacks up:
Sean Connery: 6 (well, 7 if you include Never Say Never Again, but we don't recommend it)
George Lazenby: 1 (in his defense, it was a really good one)
Roger Moore: 7 (the jokey era)
Timothy Dalton: 2 (deserved better material, if you ask us)
Pierce Brosnan: 4 (yeah, he was pretty good)
Of course, Daniel Craig hasn't actually accepted the offer yet, if it was even formally made. Really, it all boils down to how long he thinks he'll look good in a tux. If Wilson wants Craig for five films after Skyfall, he'd better get cracking. Craig is 43 years old, and would either need to start churning these out like crazy or resign himself to remaking A View to a Kill in 20 years.
CraveOnline will be back with more Skyfall news after we warn all the chickens.
