AOC Laptop Monitor

No power cord or VGA required.  That’s the mantra of AOC Portable Laptop Monitor. This lightweight piece of equipment will make you the envy of all Starbucks – as it operates by plugging into your USB drive of your laptop.

If you want to go for practicality, this is a suitable piece of equipment for an easy-to-carry device that’s light-as-a-feather (2.3lbs)to carry. When I’m editing video in Final Cut, I like having an extra monitor to view footage – with an easy to setup picture frame-type stand for that supports both horizontal and vertical positions. This notebook-sized monitor is also very practical for doing on-the-fly presentations. But the device does kind of look like a cheap piece of plastic. For example, I thought one of the rubber corner buffers was the port for the USB cable – and it just came off in my hand. It does suck a bit of life out of your battery power. Though it is great not having to use an extra outlet to plug it in.
