Activision and Radical Games have a special treat planned for early adopters of Prototype 2. If you rush out to snag the game around launch, there’s a good chance you’ll stumble across a specially-marked copy of the game which, if you buy it, locks you in for additional bonus content for seven straight weeks following the game’s launch.

Activision is calling this special promotion “RADNET,” which after using a one-time code (think Online Pass style), you’ll secure yourself 55 pieces of bonus content for Prototype 2 spread across seven weeks. This content will include, but is not limited to, in-game events, challenges, Avatar items, Dynamic Themes and behind-the-scenes videos. In addition, players who compete in all the RADNET challenges will unlock “the ultimate shape-shifting reward,” claims Activision. That reward, however, won’t be revealed until March.

The RADNET edition of Prototype 2 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the standard $60 price tag. However, supplies will be limited, so if you want all that free content, you have to pick up the as soon as possible after it launches on April 24, 2012.

Lastly, here’s a trailer highlighting the RADNET special features.
