Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has had a bumpy development history. But it seems like Ubisoft has finally steered this ship straight, proceeding full steam ahead to their latest target release date: May 22, 2012. How do we know this? Well, when a new trailer pops up online showing off the first inklings of gameplay, then you know we're getting close to prime time.
That's very much the case today, as Ubisoft has released the first gameplay trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Solider, full of silent takedowns, barrel rolls and dubstep. Yup, can't be a video game trailer without some dubstep these days.
Dubstep aside, Future Soldier is looking rather intense. It seems to balance that tactical gameplay Tom Clancy titles are known for with the bombastic set pieces of something like Call of Duty. Will it be able to deliver a worthwhile experience juggling those two wildly different approaches? We'll know for sure on May 22, 2012. Until then, though, watch the gameplay trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
[Thanks for the trailer, Kotaku!]
