During a company investors call today, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot announced that Assassin's Creed III will be hitting store shelves on October 30th, less than a year after Ubi released Assassin's Creed: Revelations. This confirms Ubisoft's plans to release a yearly Assassin's Creed title, a la Call of Duty over at Activision.
Unfortunately, we don't know much about the next entry in the AC franchise. Ubisoft is saying that it's "the biggest launch in Ubisoft history" and has been in development for three years.
Ubisoft is also promising a completely new protagonist for Assassin's Creed III, following the conclusion of Ezio's story in Revelations. We don't yet know how present day assassin-wannabe, Desmond Miles, factors into the equation, though.
We can expect more on Assassin's Creed III in the coming months, says Ubisoft. Until then, speculate away.
