Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie Poster Premieres

It's a sad commentary on our times, and it's Flash-animated!

The poster for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, a stop-motion animated remake of his classic 1984 live-action short film, about a boy who resurrects his dead dog and has to defend his creation from his terrified neighborhood, has just weenied its way online via the film's officlal Facebook page. It's a perfectly decent poster that gives an impression of the film's style and tone, and also a very frightening commentary on our times. When Tim Burton is only promoted as "The Director of Alice in Wonderland," with no mention of Batman, Beetlejuice or The Nightmare Before Christmas (which, in all fairness, he only produced), it doesn't just mean that we're all getting old, it means that Tim Burton is being remembered for the wrong damned movies.
