This Summer, FX will bet heavily on comedy with a new two and a half hour Thursday night programming block.

On Thursday, June 28; former "Two and a Half Men" star (and self-proclaimed warlock) Charlie Sheen will make his official return to TV with the debut of "Anger Management," a sitcom loosely based on the film of the same name that starred Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler. Sheen's character is inspired by Nicholson's, but he will be a therapist and a patient on the show. Selma Blair, Shawnee Smith, Daniela Bobadilla, Michael Arden, and Noureen DeWulf will round out the cast.

"Anger Management" will run two episodes on Thursdays, back-to-back, starting at 9PM. Two new episodes will premiere on June 28, but in the following weeks, new episodes will air at 9:30pm while the 9pm slot will be filled by a repeat of the previous week's episode.

At 10:00pm, FX will drop in new episodes of "Wilfred," which has Robin Williams slated to appear in the second season premiere. At 10:30pm, Louis C.K.’s "Louie" returns for its third season.

Rounding out the night will be "Strangely Uplifting" at 11:00pm; which is a new late-night comedy show hosted by Russell Brand; which is described as an “unvarnished, unfiltered take on current events, politics and pop culture.” "Strangely Uplifting" will run for only six episodes in its first season, which will be filmed in front of a live audience. The series was reportedly pushed back from its original spring debut to accommodate Brand's film schedule.
