Last season on "American Horror Story," one of the most popular scenes featured Jessica Lange's Constance Langdon facing off against Zachary Quinto's Chad Warwick. And although season two of FX's hit horror series will feature all new characters, Lange and Quinto will get the chance to work together again.

Deadline is reporting that Quinto has officially signed on to be one of the two male leads of "American Horror Story" season 2. Additionally, Quinto's character is said to be the nemesis of Lange's new character; which may make him the new villain on the series. Lange's return to the series was announced earlier this week.

Quinto's first breakout role on TV came when he portrayed the superpowered serial killer Syler on "Heroes," before Quinto went on to land the role of Spock in J. J. Abrams' "Star Trek" reboot. Because "American Horror Story" is an anthology series that reboots itself every season, Quinto's new role is not expected to interfere with his burgeoning feature career; including the upcoming "Star Trek" sequel.

The Deadline report also indicates that three other returning cast members will be announced tonight at the Paley Festival; which is honoring the first season "American Horror Story" with a live panel which will also be streamed online.

Little is known about the second season of "American Horror Story" except that it will take place in an East Coast institution and that it will begin filming in the summer before returning to FX in October 2012.
