When it comes to summer programming, very few networks commit to dramas in the way that TNT does. And the summer of 2012 will be no exception.

TNT has officially unveiled its lineup of summer dramas, which includes eight new and returning shows. TNT will kick off the summer on Tuesday, June 5; with the returns of "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Franklin & Bash" for ten episodes each in their respective third and second seasons.

The revival of "Dallas" will follow on Wednesday, June 13, with a two hour episode and ten overall in its first season. Original "Dallas" stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray will reprise their roles alongside a new generation of Ewings played by Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe.

Last summer's breakout hit, "Falling Skies" re-invades on Sunday, June 17; with a two hour season premiere. It will also run for ten episodes in the second season. Eric McCormack and Rachael Leigh Cook will headline "Perception" on Monday, July 9; in which McCormack portrays a brilliant and eccentric neuroscience professor who aids the FBI in solving unusual cases. As with the other shows, "Perception" will only run for ten episodes.

Fan favorite "Leverage" will bow for its fifth season on Sunday, July 15; with ten episodes slated to run during the summer and additional episodes to air in the winter.

And finally, "The Closer" will wrap up its seven season run beginning on Monday, July 9; for the final six episodes. Immediately after the series finale of "The Closer" airs on Monday, August 13; its spinoff "Major Crimes" will make its debut for a first season of ten episodes.

The new series will focus on Mary McDonnell's Captain Sharon Raydor and it will retain several cast members from its parent series, including G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz and Phillip P. Keene, along with guest appearances by Jon Tenney and Robert Gossett.
