On Thursday, March 22nd, Hennessy introduced their Wild Rabbit campaign to the streets of Los Angeles as the brand celebrated at the Lexington Social House on the corner of Hollywood & Vine.  Of course I was there to enjoy the festivities. The evening featured an exclusive tasting and mixology course profiling signature mixed drinks inspired by Martin Scorsese, Manny Pacquiao and Erykah Badu.

After the tasting, nearly 1000 consumers came out to experience the interactive trigger projections. Angelenos were able to "box" like Manny Pacquiao and "sing" with Erykah Badu. This is just the beginning of a series of innovation installations that will cross the country and culminate in New York City on April 5.

Each specialty mixed drink was inspired by the celebrity pillars of Hennessy's Wild Rabbit campaign. See below for recipes:
 
The Filmmaker

1.5 oz Hennessy VS
.5 oz Campari
.5 oz Amaro Nonino
2 dashes of Regan's No.6 orange bitters (or Angostura bitters)
garnish w/ orange twist

Method: add all ingredients to mixing tin with ice and stir until well chilled, strain over large ice cube into a rocks glass. Add a twist of orange

 

The Music Icon

1.5oz Hennessy VS
.5oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.75oz of simple syrup
.25oz of Crème de mure or Crème de Cassis
1 egg white (optional)
1 Basil leaf

Method: Add all liquid ingredients and egg white to a shaker tin. Shake without ice to activate egg white, then add ice and shake to chill. Fine strain into a cocktail Coupe and garnish with a basil leaf, Slap the leaf before adding it to the top as this will accentuate the basil scents.

 

The Sports Legend

1.5oz Hennessy VS
.25oz Ardbeg 10year old single malt scotch
.5oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25 Agave Nectar (or simple syrup)
2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
3 x 1 inch by 1 inch fresh pineapple cubes in a shaker tin

Method: Muddles the cubes of pineapple, then add all liquid with ice and shake until well chilled. Fine strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with two pineapple leaves.
