After five seasons of "Californication," Hank Moody (David Duchovny) will finally find Faith… after a fashion.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the sixth season of "Californication" will debut a woman named Faith who is being conceived as the leading character for a potential spinoff TV series.

According to the report, Faith is in her mid-to-late twenties and she is described as “what happens when an innocent young Catholic school girl is exposed to the evils of rock and roll and falls heads over heels in love with the music and the men who make it.” The description also notes that Faith has traveled with many bands and that she is considered to be a muse by some big name musicians.

Unlike Hank Moody, Faith is also said to be "quite religious" despite their shared love of sex, drugs and music.

While most backdoor spinoffs only introduce a new character in a single episode, Faith will be in nine episodes of "Californication's" sixth season. However, the potential spinoff is not a sure thing and it will largely hinge on how the audience responds to Faith. So if viewers end up hating her, Faith probably won't get her own series.

Thus far, there's no word on who will play Faith, but casting should begin later this year. "Californication" will return for its sixth season on Showtime in early 2013.
