Since the very beginning of "Fringe," William Bell has been an enigmatic figure from the past of Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble). Not only was Bell the former partner of Walter, he was also the founder of Massive Dynamic and the creator of numerous scientific innovations. Bell was also rumored to be behind the radical group, ZFT and Walter once outed Bell as the creator of the shapeshifters that threatened our world from the alternate universe.

In the second season finale of "Fringe," Bell appeared to heroically sacrifice himself to save the Fringe team. But in this new timeline created by Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), Bell has not only survived, his entire motivation appears to have changed.

During the events of "Brave New World, Part 1," it was revealed that Bell was the true mastermind behind David Robert Jones (Jared Harris) and the mad plan to collapse the two universes into a brand new universe under their control and guidance. Only Walter realized the truth about Bell's survival, but his FBI minder, Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole) was shot when they tracked down Bell to his hideout.

With the fourth season finale only two days away, Fox has unleashed a new extended trailer for "Brave New World, Part 2;" which once again hints that Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) may not survive and it also gives us a glimpse of the new world that Bell is trying to create.
