Jeff Parker's Thunderbolts have been on a wild, strange, random and unintentional trip through the timestream ever since Fear Itself, trying to figure out how to get back to their proper time… and remembering that they aren't quite the stalwart protectors the Avengers are. Next month, however, we see what's going on in the modern-day, as former Thunderbolt leader Luke Cage has a new team of questionable super-types to try and corral – and their name is so catchy it's taking over the title of the book.
Thunderbolts #175 is actually going to be called Dark Avengers #175, likely because that will probably sell better, sad to say. Thunderbolts is a solid series that's pretty different from standard fare with all its murky moral ambiguity. Will the T-Bolts survive their time travels? We don't know yet, but we do know that Cage is dealing with Trickshot, Ragnarok, Skaar, a Dark Scarlet Witch and a Dark Spider-Man and giving them all a mission they're uniquely qualified to take on.
Check out this Declan Shalvey preview art from Dark Avengers #175, with a cover from Mike Deodato. As we can see, it seems Satana, Moonstone, Mr. Hyde, Centurius and the rest are still stuck in the past… and Cage, Songbird and Abner Jenkins have their hands full with the new batch.
