HBO has booked a return trip to Bon Temps for early June, which means that we are under a month away from new episodes of "True Blood."

Last season on "True Blood," things didn't exactly go well for Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard). Oh sure, they ultimately defeated Marnie (Fiona Shaw) and her coven of witches. But their mutual lover, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) rejected both of them, Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck) drew them into her war against the Vampire Authority… and someone dug up Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare); the insane vampire king with a serious grudge against nearly everyone in Bon Temps.

But a more pressing matter for Bill and Eric is the Authority itself; which is made up of the most powerful vampires in the world who happen to want them to suffer the true death. And in this recently released extended trailer for "True Blood" season 5, we get our first full look at the Authority leader, Roman (Christopher Meloni) as Bill and Eric attempt to bargain for their lives. We also see Sookie condemned by one of her closest friends, the return of Layfette's (Nelson Ellis) demon form, Eric's surprising history with Pam (Kristin Bauer) and even a quick glimpse of Russell Edgington for the first time since the end of the third season.

The fifth season of "True Blood" will debut on Sunday, June 10, only on HBO!
