Last year, "Strike Back" redefined the action genre on TV with an unexpectedly strong debut season on Showtime after a previous incarnation aired in the U.K. This August, the men and women of Section 20 will be back for a second season on Cinemax (and third overall) as Philip Winchester's Michael Stonebridge is drawn back into the fold alongside his friend, Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton).
Joining the cast this season is Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans); who will portray Captain Rachael Dalton, the new commanding officer of Section 20. That means that Stonebridge and Scott have to answer to her as they chase a new terrorist threat across the globe.
On the first day of Comic-Con International, we caught up with Winchester, Stapleton and Mitra for an exclusive glimpse of what's coming up in the new season of "Strike Back." And while the actors stayed quiet about the plot, they did seem to indicate that "Strike Back" season two may be even more explosive than the previous season.
"Strike Back" Cinemax Season One will hit DVD and Blu-ray with Cinemax Select (Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy) on August 7, while "Strike Back" season 2 will debut on Friday, August 17 on Cinemax with two brand new episodes back-to-back.
