Hasbro likes their IDW. Not only is the company already publishing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics, but now they're going to bring My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to the comic book realm for the first time. The crazy cultural phenomenon that has captivated girls and stoner dudes everywhere will have its own book written by Katie Cook and illustrated by Andy Price. Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and the whole gang will be on hand for stories in the same vein as the popular animated series.

IDW also announced the expansion of their Transformers comic lines, unveiling a new tie-in to the Transformers: Prime animated series called Transformers Prime: Rage of the Dinobots. That's right, introducing the beloved Dinobots Grimlock, Snarl, Slag, Sludge and Swoop to the TF:P universe. Also, tying into the highly-anticipated new video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be a new digital-only miniseries with the same name. It will be a prequel to the game, telling the origin of the Dinobots and their battles with the rulthless Shockwave.
