Comic-Con 2012: Peter Jackson ‘The Hobbit’ Interview

So, we got an exclusive interview with Peter Jackson. Yeah. Warner Brothers brought footage from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to Comic-Con, along with Jackson and stars Ian McKellan, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman. In Hall H he showed footage and in a panel he spoke about his efforts to create a more cinematic experience. New cinematic technology will create a new cinematic experience, but we wanted to ask him about the creative side of that. He also told Hall H that he has access to more Tolkien material, the 120 or so pages of appendices at the end of Return of the King. He may shoot more footage for the two Hobbit movies, or save it for a THIRD film. We discussed those possibilities and a very basic inherent question with our private time with Peter Jackson-
