Although the primary conflict of "Dexter" season 7 appears to be Debra Morgan's (Jennifer Carpenter) attempt to deal with the fact that her adoptive brother, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is a killer, that doesn't mean that America's favorite serial killer won't have other problems to deal with.

Enter investigative writer, Ethan Price, who will be coming to Miami in the new season of "Dexter." According to Entertainment Weekly, Santiago Cabrera has been cast as Price and he will appear in at least "a couple episodes." Price is described as the "charming" writer of several true crime books regarding famous murder cases. Considering that Dexter's city has been recently plagued by the Doomsday Killer, Trinity, the Ice Truck killer and even Dexter himself (as the Bay Harbor Butcher), Price's latest project will probably hit a little close to home for Dexter.

Cabrera is perhaps best known for his brief stint in "Heroes" as the prophetic painter, Isaac Mendez and his turn as Lancelot on the BBC series "Merlin." Additionally, Cabrera has appeared in "Spooks," "Covert Affairs," "Alcatraz." For Greater Glory and the recent HBO TV movie, Hemingway & Gellhorn.

Also joining the cast this season are Yvonne Strahovski and Ray Stevenson. At Comic-Con International, Showtime unveiled the first two minutes of the "Dexter" season premiere, in which he attempts to talk his way out of a tricky situation.

"Dexter" season 7 will kill again on Sunday, September 30.
