Actress Linda Hamilton, probably best known for her role as Sarah Connor in "The Terminator" film franchise and, most recently, for playing Mary Bartowski on the hit comedy show "Chuck," will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of the third season of the Showcase sci-fi series "Lost Girl," it was recently announced.

Hamilton will play Acacia, a sexy assassin who will cause havoc for lead character Bo (played by Anna Silk), a succubus who feeds off of the sexual energy of others. After enjoying two highly-successful seasons, Season 3 of "Lost Girl" is slated to air in the winter of 2013.

In addition to her roles "The Terminator," "Terminator 2: Judgement Day," and "Chuck," Hamilton, who was born in Maryland, also worked on the series "Beauty and the Beast" for a number of years, taking on a role that got her nominated for three awards (two Golden Globes as well as an Emmy). She was a part of the TV cast for "The Line," she guest-starred on "Weeds," and she is in the midst of filming a new program, "Air Force One is Down," which is based on Alistair Maclean's book by the same name and also stars Regina's Cas Anvar ("Xeno-Date") and Reupert Graves ("V is for Vendetta"). She has a child with Canadian film director James Cameron, whom she divorced in 1999.

Season 1 of "Lost Girl" is currently replaying on the Global network.
