Comedian turned activist, Russell Brand, has announced an Australian tour which will include shows in all capital cities. Sydney will get two shows which will include a special show at the iconic Sydney Opera House for the Just For Laughs Sydney Comedy Festival.

The tour is dubbed Trew World Order taking its name from Brand’s Youtube web series The Trews, which attacks right wing governments and organisations around the world. Brand started the series in February 2014 and the channel has since gained more than one million subscribers. He published his 300th episode in April this year.

In an interview with this week, Brand commented on what to expect when he brings the show to Australia, saying “There’ll be loads of stuff about your crazy Prime Minister, what’s his name? Tony Abbott. I might try and gay marry him when I get there. And we’ll be talking about the immigration situation.”

This is not the first time Brand has commented on the Australian PM, recently calling him an “absolute raving lunatic” and also attacking Abbott for his recent comments about Children being abused while in detention.
